After reading about The tube master clock and a very good review from a user over at https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/topi ... nt=1175495

I’m trying to start a discussion here about this promising product.

(Maybe Abbas should start a thread over at https://audiophilestyle.com/)

Is this clock 50 ohm ?

H!

The output impedance of the tube clock is much less than 50 ohm. No matter.

Цитата:
Is the two outputs isolated from each other ?

No isolated.

Цитата:
Will there be much drift in frequency away from 10 MHz ?

A few hertzs per day. No matter. You will never hear it. There are more important things than drift. You can never measure the impact of the tube rectifier on the sound of tube clock, just need to listen. But it is more importnat than frequency drift.
I work with the sound, not with digits.

Цитата:
With a 24/7 use, how long shall I expect the tubes to last ?

If you mean EF13/EZ11 it is so, 24/7 work is possible.

Thanks, but I am tired of forums. I am not interested in this discussion.

See private message please.

I’ve always learned that tubes has a very short life. I don’t know anything about tubes. Except short life.

I would need my clock to run 24\7, as it’s not stable enough before after half an hour or so. (According to another user).

So how long should I expect these tube to last in my living room, powered 24/7, and what would replacement cost approximately be ?

Lifetime depends on the quality of the tube. These valves (ef, ez) came from the Third Reich. 70-80 years have passed, and they are still working. This is the answer to your question about reliability.

5-7 and even 10 years of non stop work can be expected. I use the same tube clock in my home cd transport for about 10 years.

My home CD transport with the tube clock (ef12/ez11)

E12 has "mv" code that means November ,1944.
